  My experience was to sit in the room for 45minutes after being told the dr would be in soon got sick of waiting and left people do have jobs and other appointments to go to and they wasn't even very busy

  I am a healthcare professional who walked into this clinic with an acute migraine. I do not use clinics or ERs for my migraines, but my RX med was not working and I had been suffering for over 2 days. The woman at the desk asked me no questions about my migraine, symptoms, etc. She had no idea if I was having a stroke, heart cond etc. I was told to sit in waiting area. I was surrounded by a loud TV and actually people eating take out. No one should be eating in a medical waiting room. Infection Control, Plus food odors when ppl are ill is terrible. After waiting over 45mins, I ran outside to vomit in parking lot. I cam back in and had my spouse take me to Cosh Hosp fast track. I was placed in a dark room and on a bed in 10 mins. I was treated and released in 90 mins. This Rapid Care is not professional. There is no person in the facility to triage patients. I did not expect to be treated before anyone else, but I did expect to be placed in an area to lay down. I also would expect any patient arriving to a health facility complaining of an excruciating migraine to at least be asked specific questions to rule out a stroke. I have freq migraines; therefore, all is good...but these folks did not know this fact. The next person arriving with terrible head pain could be having a stroke or suffered a head injury. No assessment or questions were ever asked. I do not recommend this place. I wonder if any of the staff were RNs. I did not get this impression.

  I'd like to say that I was at first a bit skeptical of a walk in clinic, as I am of any "urgent care", but after walking in yesterday with a severe respiratory infection and to treat my asthma that I'd put off for far too long. I can definitely say that Dr. Hirst and his staff were both professional and friendly, the center was clean and since I wasn't a long time local they helped me find a local facility that would supply me with my medical equipment etc. I'd definitely recommend this place (I believe that it's only $75 a doctor's office visit for uninsured) to anyone who has any walk-in condition(s), also do DOT physicals as well. Dr. Hirst seems to actually give a hoot about YOU and your health when you leave :)
